A man was shot overnight in Van Nest.

Police say it happened just after 12:30 a.m. at 653 Morris Park Ave. A 22-year-old man was shot in the left leg. EMS took him to NYC Health+Hospitals/Jacobi and is expected to recover.

It is unclear what led up to the shooting, according to police. They are looking for a man involved who ran away from the scene.
