A man was attacked in a Bronx subway station Thursday after refusing to buy "a swipe" onto the train, police said.
It happened shortly after noon at the Prospect Avenue and Westchester Avenue station on the 2 and 5 lines.
Police said two people approached the man and tried to sell him a swipe. When he refused, a fight broke out.
One suspect pulled out a knife and slashed the victim on the nose, right hand and back, according to police. He was also stabbed in his left shoulder.
The attackers ran to the street and left a weapon behind. The victim was treated at the scene.
