A 23-year-old man was slashed in the face aboard a Bx2 bus late Friday afternoon in Concourse Village, according to police.
Authorities say the attack unfolded just after 5 p.m. as the bus approached the East 163rd Street and Grand Concourse stop.
Citizen app footage taken at the stop shows a trail of blood leading from the bus to the 23-year-old, who is seen lying on the ground as others come to his aid.
The NYPD says paramedics took the victim to Lincoln Hospital, where he is expected to recover.
Police describe his attacker as a man in his 30s dressed in all black. They say he got off the bus at the East 163rd Street and Grand Concourse stop and took off running northbound on Grand Concourse.
Information about what sparked the attack was not immediately available.
News 12 reached out to the MTA, which did not provide a comment.
