A Brooklyn man says he was stabbed multiple times while packing his car for a family trip.
Albert Yusupov was packing his car for a family trip down to Myrtle Beach when he says 32-year-old Gerald George walked behind him and stabbed him multiple times with a knife.
The incident took place just before midnight on June 4, and police told News 12 that George also stabbed his own mother twice just prior to this incident.
Yusupov is yet another victim of the rising crime in New York City. He says he leaves his doors open at home and often feels safe in his neighborhood.
His wife, Yana Yusupov, witnessed the incident moments before she walked out with her 8-month-old son Jacob.
“He doesn’t deserve this,” said Yana, who said thankfully that a neighbor came to the rescue. “He has a scratch on his forehead and a lot of stabs, I counted 9 but I know there’s more.”
Thankfully Albert is in stable condition at the hospital. Police say George has been arrested and is facing charges, and the suspect’s mother is expected to be okay as well.
