Police are searching for a man who they say attacked a 60-year-old man while trying to steal his car during a fight over a parking spot in Parkchester.
Police say the victim was sitting in his parked car on Feb. 8, just before 5 p.m., in front of 1654 Metropolitan Ave., when the man walked up to him and started an argument over the parking space.
Authorities say the man punched the 60-year-old in his face when he exited his car. He then got into the victim's car and attempted to drive away, but the victim was able to remove him from the vehicle.
The suspect ran away toward Linden Boulevard and was last seen wearing a white ski mask, gray hooded bubble jacket and a black sweatshirt, according to police.
