Take it, you know, today, I'm calling it for a good ish day now because you're not going to be seeing the wet weather and notice our silver lining here, 60 degrees. That's nice and very warm, big departure for December 2nd. And uh we are noticing the trend also heading into the pre dawn hours into tomorrow. Now by tomorrow afternoon, you'll definitely need those umbrellas, a lighter jacket alert for sure. Today, what to wear looks like that um, umbrella for tomorrow's soggy on and off showers all day and heading into dinner time. That's when things really start to improve. But a seasonal return once again, specifically Wednesday into Thursday, as we walk you through our future cast, the clouds are here and they will continue to stay with us thickening and also gradually building to more shower activity heading into overnight at first light, but then we have these rounds of rain. So, you know, not everyone gets to see them and experience them all at once, but their heavier pockets also embedded as early as eight and seven o'clock in the morning. You'll notice Brooklyn, you kinda see that, especially when we're talking about heading towards the afternoon time frame. So after 12 o'clock, that's when we can start to notice a bit more of those moderate heavier pockets, the contours of the deeper um, greens, as well as oranges and yellows. We're gonna need those umbrellas handy all day tomorrow. So be mindful of that accessory by four o'clock, things really lighten up and the showers seem like they kind of exit. But, you know, we are left with the clouds still at bay. So it's kind of a bit more of a damp start heading into Monday. Nice, beautiful clearing and the sunshine is back into play as we start off the next week. Now, as far as rain total, it looks like this. So three quarters of an inch close to an inch for some spots, very localized. I'm not very concerned about localized flooding. Uh but because it seems to be such kind of like nuisance rain, it's just gonna be a rainy day and that's something to just be mindful about. By Tuesday, Wednesday, we get back into the forties and as we start off Hanukkah on Thursday, we are expecting drier conditions and high temperatures into the forties. Much more like December.

Manhattan College looks to repeat lacrosse championship

To sports. Now, a local lacrosse team is looking for a second straight championship while a pair of track teams are big winners at a major meet news. 12 sports director, Pat o'keefe has more. Last year, Manhattan College won its first men's lacrosse championship in 20 years. This time around, they don't want to wait as long for the next one. And this weekend in Riverdale, they look for their second conference title in a row. The Jaspers finish the regular season 7 to 2 to win the Mac championship and they will host the conference tournament at Gaelic Park. They play Sienna on Thursday in the semi finals with the winner advancing to Saturday's championship. Longtime assistant John Odierno was named back coach of the year in his first season as head coach. He has elevated the Jaspers success even with a target on their back throughout the league. Big time. I think the big difference this year and we talked about it a lot was exactly what you said, Manhattan isn't going to surprise anybody this year. We're not the underdog. We're not the, I guess the story. Now we're at the top and we're trying to stay up here and it's been a unique new challenge, but I think our guys to this point have handled it really well at the prestigious Penn relays. Last week, two local high school track teams linked together came out big winners, the Mott Haven four by 400 m relay team of Oregon Thomas Javan Bolt, Marvin Markland and Jay Del Carmen won their heat anchored with a split of 50.89 seconds. While Bolt, the second leg will attend Iona University on an academic scholarship. Mott Haven coached by Joseph Lucas, a native of the Norwood section of the Bronx who ran for Fordham prep. About an hour later, Fordham preps four by 400 relay of Keegan. Judy Lucas Krissy Dakota Strain and Jaylen Santiago also won their heat. I'm Pat o'keefe News 12.
