Manhattan College students in Riverdale walked out of school today over concerns about mental health.
Students planned the walkout because they felt that their previous concerns about mental health on campus had gone unheard. They say they want more funding for the university’s counseling center and better accommodations for students and staff who may be struggling with their mental health.
Manhattan College administration officials tell News 12 that the mental health of students is their No. 1 priority and that the university offers mental health services free of charge to students.
