The two most dominant schools in women's lacrosse, Manhattan College and Le Moyne College, will square off in the first round of the MAAC playoffs Friday.
Le Moyne is the top seed and defending champs. The team beat the Lady Jaspers 20-4 two weeks ago. The Lady Jays had to win back-to-back games against Niagara and Canisius College to get into the tournament. Third-year Manhattan head coach Jim Drivas credits his senior players with the rally.
Manhattan and Le Moyne have both won three titles since the MAAC Women's Lacrosse Tournament started in 2000.
