Several people have stepped up to donate masks and gloves to nurses at NYC Health + Hospitals/Lincoln after they protested Tuesday night.
The nurses begged for adequate protection while treating COVID-19 patients. Albert Nunez, a business owner, says he saw News 12's coverage of the rally after Bronx activist Scott La Rock Jr. shared it on social media and donated 1,000 surgical masks and 1,000 gloves to nurses.
He says the pandemic has hit his clothing business, CL-95 Inc., hard. His manufacturer stopped making clothes but signed a contract with 3M, the world's largest maker of respirator masks that Nunez now sells.
