Mayor Adams and the Administration for Children’s Services announced the launch of the ‘College Choice’ program on Tuesday.
The new program will help cover the cost of college expenses for hundreds of students in foster care.
It will pay up to $15,000 each year in addition to any room and board not covered by financial aid.
College students in foster care will also receive a $60 daily stipend per year, which can be used toward food, clothing, transportation and more.
