Mayor Eric Adams delivered his third State of the City address Wednesday afternoon, outlining his administration's vision for the future.
The outside of Hostos Community College was filled with hundreds of people - many who were there to voice their concerns about how the city is handling the ongoing housing crisis.
Mayor Adams addressed those concerns, announcing new housing ventures coming to the city.
"We're doing 24 in 24. 24 major housing projects that will yield another 12,000 units of housing on city-owned sites," said Adams.
The mayor says his goal for housing is to introduce 500,000 units within the next decade.
The mayor also focused on the future, including a 2026 projection, saying his team will create five million new jobs in 2025, introduce a tenant protection cabinet, cut NYPD disciplinary process time in half and more.
