Mayor Eric Adams and the City Council announced a partnership to help boost early childhood education.
The group was put together to build a roadmap for a $100 million investment toward that goal.
Some parts of that plan include increasing the number of seats for 3-year-old through kindergarten by up to 1,500.
Additionally, more funding will be allotted to free after-school programs.
The city is also boosting the funds going to supporting undocumented children in the Promise NYC program.
Both the City Council and the city will hold biweekly meetings to make sure their plan goes into effect and address any challenges that may arise.
