Mayor de Blasio looks to speed up vaccinations with new sites across New York City

The mayor says the boroughs are quickening their vaccination process by opening three vaccine hubs this weekend, including pop-up clinics.

Mayor Bill de Blasio says the city needs to start vaccinating people against the coronavirus 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
The city is focusing on vaccinating all essential workers like teachers, dentists, therapists, police officers and more this month.
The mayor says the boroughs are quickening their vaccination process by opening three vaccine hubs this weekend, including pop-up clinics.
De Blasio says if the federal government continues to keep up with the pace, he hopes to have hundreds of thousands of people vaccinated this month.
Dr. Dave Chokshi says the city is hoping to increase its 125 vaccination sites to 160 by this weekend. The goal is to have 250 vaccination sites by the end of January.
