Getting guns off Bronx and city streets was the focus of a national summit on illegal guns Tuesday in New York City.Mayor Bloomberg (R-NY) and Boston Mayor Thomas Menino hosted the daylong event. More than a dozen mayors from all over the country attended the open dialogue summit. The mayors hope to create a loose coalition that will trade crime fighting information, work together on city and state legislation and form a louder voice in Washington D.C.Bloomberg called the day productive and says another summit is expected to take place before the end of the year.
