A mechanic appeared in court Monday for his role in a 2021 elevator incident that killed his co-worker in Mount Eden.
Police say 67-year-old Peter Milatz has been charged with criminally negligent homicide for failing to follow safety procedure.
Milatz' co-worker, 25-year-old Joseph Rosa, was crushed to death.
Rosa fell six stories inside an elevator shaft on East Clarke Place back in February 2021.
