Monday was Chancellor Meisha Ross Porter's official first day and she began her tenure by meeting with kids at P.S. 15 in Brooklyn.
Ross Porter is making history as well, becoming the first Black woman to serve in the role.
She sat down exclusively with News 12's Kristie Reeter to tell her what this moment means.
