Mets to host 9/11 remembrance during game vs. Yankees on 20th anniversary
The New York Mets will host a 20th anniversary Sept. 11 remembrance Saturday when they play the New York Yankees.
Bobby Valentine will throw the ceremonial first pitch to Joe Torre. Valentine and Torre managed the two New York teams at the time of the attacks.

Players will wear first responder caps from the FDNY, NYPD, Port Authority Police Department, Department of Sanitation and Department of Correction during batting practice and the game.
Players from the 2001 season are expected to be at the game, including Hall of Famer Mike Piazza - who hit a memorable home run during the Sept. 21, 2001 game that was the first in New York City following the attacks. 
A number of organizations and first responders will be represented on the field.
