A mobile vaccine clinic was in Williamsburg Saturday to vaccinate
more restaurant workers.
The clinic was ready to vaccinate more than 100 restaurant
workers who made appointments.
This week, the mobile bus has traveled around the city,
stopping in neighborhoods with a lot of restaurants or where a lot of
restaurant workers live.
The initiative was made possible through a partnership with
the city and the organization ROAR (Restaurants Organization, Advocating and
Rebuilding), as well as several others.
Co-founder of ROAR Sean Feeney says they are hoping to
vaccinate at least 200 people per day.
The current program is only for restaurant and food delivery
workers, and organizers hope to make it easier and more convenient for them to
get vaccinated.
The mobile vaccine clinic will be in East Harlem next week,
and is expected to make its way to the Bronx.
