Molloy University student studying nursing saves woman's life
Saige Colleluori says she checked for a pulse, but there wasn't one. That's when she started compressions.

A Molloy University student studying nursing is credited with saving a woman's life.
"Thank God Saige is here, without her, I mean she is a lifesaver," says Matthew Evans, who works with Saige.
It happened in April.
Saige Colleluori was working her shift at Riko's Pizza in Levittown.
That's when she saw a customer who was walking out, drop to the ground.
Saige says she ran outside to ask if everything was OK.
She was told it was, but moments later, someone ran back in the restaurant saying that the woman wasn't breathing.
Saige says she checked for a pulse, but there wasn't one.
That's when she started compressions.
“Once I did a full round of compressions, I slowly felt her pulse threading back to me and then after two minutes, she started talking again," Colleluori tells News 12.
Saige is a sophomore at Molloy University.
"Everything I've learned at Molloy really translated to a real situation," says Colleluori.
She's from Bethpage and says it's always been her dream to be a nurse.
As for the woman she saved, Saige says her daughter later came in to thank her.
"Her daughter came in after. She said thank you so much for saving my mom's life and she's going to be OK," says Colleluori.
