More NYPD safety teams incoming following violent weekend in Brooklyn

The NYPD says two people were shot and two others stabbed in less than an hour Sunday in Brooklyn.

The NYPD says two people were shot and two others stabbed in less than an hour Sunday in Brooklyn.
Police report a man was shot inside an Express Deli and about 20 minutes earlier and half a mile away, a man was shot on a subway platform. All of this happened 24 hours before the mayor's expected announcement of the addition of new NYPD safety teams.
As of now, the 67th, 71st, 73rd, 75th, 79th, 81st and 83rd precincts precinct is already assigned a safety team.
Around 3:40 p.m., police say a 29-year-old man got into an argument with two men on the platform of the C line when one of those men pulled out a gun and shot him. He is also listed in critical condition at the hospital.
On Pitkin Avenue and Wyona Street, police say a 28-year-old man was shot in the head just before 4 p.m. Sunday inside the Express Deli and is in critical condition.
At around 4:30 p.m. in front of 1607 Atlantic Ave., police say two men got into a fight with two other men. One was stabbed in the hand and the other was stabbed in the neck and chest. Officers say both had serious injuries and no arrests have been made
The mayor is scheduled to speak later this afternoon, and also announce the addition of five new safety teams including one in Brooklyn's 69th Precinct.
As of now, the 67th, 71st, 73rd, 75th, 79th, 81st and 83rd precincts have already been assigned a safety team.
