More than 50,000 appointments for monkeypox vaccines became available for New Yorkers on Friday afternoon.

These are for first and second doses, according to city officials.

Eligibility is also expanding to those younger than 18, who meet all other existing requirements.

The Health Department says changes to who can obtain shots, and when, are changing as cases decline in the area.
