Mount Eden nail salon damaged in fire

Broken glass, wood and charred debris cluttered the sidewalk in front of the salon on Wednesday.

Officials say a fire badly damaged a nail salon in Mount Eden on Tuesday night.
The fire occurred around 9:30 p.m. at 1584 Jerome Avenue East and Mount Eden Avenue.
A total of 60 fire and EMS personnel were on the scene to battle the flames.
The fire destroyed the storefront of Sunny Pro Nails Inc.. Community members say it's a staple in the neighborhood.
"They are a neighborhood staple that's going to be missed... there is no one like them," one client told News 12.
Broken glass, wood and charred debris cluttered the sidewalk in front of the salon on Wednesday. Residents say they hope the business opens soon, but crews on scene tell News 12 the cleanup could take months.
No injuries were reported, and the cause of the fire is still under investigation.
