The Mount St. Michael baseball team was hoping for a little revenge when players took on Archbishop Molloy High School in a preseason matchup.
The Mountaineers were down 4-1 at one point in the game. Mount managed to lessen the gap to 4-3, but Molloy pitcher Conan Leon got a strikeout at a key point in the game. Molloy held on for the 8-4 win.
Mount second baseman Chris Ogando was optimistic, saying his team would work to beat Molloy the next time they meet. Molloy knocked Mount out of the Catholic League playoffs last year.
