More than one in four members of the LGBTQ community suffers from a mental illness, researchers say, and one affected man volunteered his personal life for a movie to raise awareness.
Andrew Cristi has bipolar disorder and borderline personality disorder.
"Peter Pandrew: Get Hooked" takes its name from the popular children's story Peter Pan, about a boy struggling to grow up.
Advocates say the film shows real, raw emotions experienced by people suffering from mental illness.
Cristi says he hopes the film will encourage others to seek help.
