An MTA worker fell down an 8-foot-deep hole at a construction site Monday morning.
Video from Citizen App shows the worker being hoisted up from an air vent at the site, located at East 144th Street and Southern Boulevard. There was a large firefighter presence as the man was slowly lifted back above ground.
News 12 is told that the man suffered a leg injury, but it was not considered life-threatening. He's expected to be OK.
News 12 did not immediately hear back from the MTA for comment. The construction site manager was unable to comment.
