Seven percent of teens say they have been a victim of cyberbullying, according to a new poll.
The poll was conducted by the AP and MTV.
According to the poll, teenage girls felt they were bullied more compared to young men.
The poll also indicated young people believe it is their parents’ job to prevent them from being bullied online.
Experts say parents can help protect their children from online bullies by blocking fake accounts.
If a child is being targeted by a cyberbully, experts recommend making sure not to respond to comments or threats.
Experts also suggest printing out messages with online usernames and turning information over to app developers and the police.
