In recognition of National Black Business Month, News 12
is highlighting some businesses in the Bronx and Brooklyn.
News 12’s Samantha Chaney spoke with Heath Johnston, the owner of Good Wine in
Park Slope.
She says her
store was on the brink of closing after eight years in business due to the
financial hardship brought on by the pandemic.
With the help of
$40,000 in donations from the Park Slope community, she was able to keep her
doors opened.
Johnston says during a time of such uncertainty, the one
thing that hasn't changed is the support of her community, and that's what
keeps her going.
