New York City residents may see a larger police presence than usual across the city this weekend.
The NYPD is deploying additional resources to sensitive locations, including houses of worship after some posts surfaced online about an alleged "National Day of Hate" against the Jewish community.
The Anti-Defamation League says the social media posts have been shared by antisemitic groups, and the planned protests were intended to target Jewish communities.
The NYPD is urging all New Yorkers to remain vigilant, and if they see anything suspicious call 1-888–NYC-SAFE.
