A one-of-a-kind vaccine trial is now taking place. The National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Disease has started testing whether it's safe to mix vaccines from different manufacturers.
Volunteers must have already received the Pfizer, Moderna or Johnson & Johnson shot.
During the trial, volunteers will be receiving doses from different vaccines to review the effects of mixing boosters. The results are expected to be released in late summer.
