A man is in grave condition after police say he shot a woman, then himself outside the Adams Houses Tuesday.
Police say Marcos Rivera confronted Carmen Vega outside of the East 152nd Street building as she left for work and shot her in the jaw. Officials say Rivera then shot himself in the head.
Neighbor Norma Delgado tells News 12 The Bronx that Vega had broken up with Rivera. Delgado says Rivera started stalking Vega, who is a mother and grandmother. Many residents say they didn?t see any red flags about the couple, adding that Rivera seemed like a nice man.
Vega is listed in stable condition.
