Netflix is bringing Eddie Redmayne and Jessica Chastain to Stamford to shoot "The Good Nurse" next month.
Redmayne is starring as American serial killer Charles Cullen. City officials say production on TV shows such as "Forged in Fire" and "Judge Jerry" has continued in town despite the pandemic.
They say Netflix coming back to town in April marks the return of Hollywood production to Connecticut.
Production companies can receive up to 30% in tax credits for shooting in the state.
Thomas Madden, Stamford's director of economic development, says a movie shooting in town doesn't just bring excitement - it's also an influx of cash for local businesses.
Citrola Casting put out a call last week for extras in the Stamford area. The call says there's a special need for circus performers like sword swallowers and contortionists.
