Voters are asked to choose yes or no for something on the ballot but sometimes can’t wrap their head around the language. Now, a new law will make it so all amendment and ballot proposals are written in plain language.
Gov. Hochul signed the law into place on Friday that will remove dense and complicated language from those proposals.
The governor says this new rule will help voters get a better understanding of the impact of their decision.
