New Jersey Devils players excited for fans to return to watch them play

New Jersey Devils players say that they are excited to see fans return to The Rock next week now that spectators are allowed at professional sporting events.
The team will face the Capitals on Saturday and Sunday in an empty arena. But starting on Tuesday, the Prudential Center will allow a limited number of fans to see the Devils take on the Islanders.
“Obviously when you’re at home, the momentum shifts when the crowd goes crazy over a hit or a good shift,” says forward Jack Hughes. “You can notice it in that aspect.”
Even though the Prudential Center can only allow up to 10% capacity, the players say that the extra support will make all the difference.
“It is the start of hopefully one of these days being able to have a full arena and getting back to normal,” says Hughes. “So, it’s really exciting and we’re happy to have fans back.”
The Devils will play their next five games at home in Newark. The team is currently 7-6-2 and are in sixth place in their division.
