New study shows long-COVID promise; booster clinic in Ridgewood today

There might be new hope for those dealing with the symptoms of "long-COVID."
Researchers for the VA health system tested 9,000 veterans who took Paxlovid within the first five days of COVID infection and found that about 25% reduced risk of developing several related conditions.
Those symptoms include serious ailments like heart disease, blood disorders, fatigue, muscle pain and shortness of breath.
Paxlovid is already being used to reduce the risk of death and hospitalization.
A COVID booster clinic is being offered in Ridgewood on Monday for individuals 12 years and older, and who meet other requirements. More information on how to register can be found at the link.
