12h agoNew toll rates are now in effect at all bridge and tunnel crossings in New York City, including the Throgs Neck and Whitestone Bridges.
Both bridges will now cost $6.94 on E-ZPass. For those who get their toll by mail, the price will now be $11.19.
The Metropolitan Transportation Authority says the increase is part of a 5-year plan to generate $117 million in an effort to keep roads safe.
