New Yorkers will need to bring out the shovels, scraper and brush after tonight's snow and rain mix.
Rain and snow are expected to fall Monday sometime after 6 p.m., possibly impacting the evening rush which will mean bad news for commuters.
City officials are urging drivers to drive slowly and to plan trips accordingly. Driving conditions will change, especially when it comes to moving and stopping because of the sleet expected to cover the road.
The city also urges commuters to use mass transit if possible and to be careful of slippery platforms and staircases.
For those with elderly neighbors or family members, periodically check on them as chilly temperatures continue into the night.
