New York City feels the impact of record-breaking week of COVID-19 cases

News 12 visited multiple COVID-19 testing sites in the Bronx that were listed as opened on Christmas morning. Upon arrival, they appeared to be closed.
It follows four consecutive days of record-breaking daily cases in New York state. The positivity rate around the five boroughs is at 7.5% with city data reporting more than 12,000.

Mayor Bill de Blasio says the city is ramping up its testing and vaccination efforts, opening new testing sites and giving out free at-home testing kits.
