New York City’s Department for the Aging is conducting a survey to better understand and address the needs of residents aged 60 and over.
The citywide survey aims to pinpoint service gaps for older individuals throughout the five boroughs.
It covers issues such as transportation, finance management, meal preparation and social isolation.
The information gathered from the assessment will be used to help the department’s future programs and advocacy.
The survey launched in May to recognize Older Americans Month, a national observance honoring the contributions of older adults.
