New York City Public Advocate Jumaane Williams delivered his State of the People address on Wednesday at the Jamaica Art Center.
He discussed public safety and how crime impacts New Yorker's everyday life.
"Public safety is paramount to New Yorkers," Williams said.
He also said young people need a place to go to grow their passions.
