New York opens Excelsior Scholarship applications for upcoming school year
Applications have opened up for New York's Excelsior Scholarship, which allows eligible full-time students to attend a SUNY or CUNY two-year or four-year college tuition-free.
Gov. Andrew Cuomo announced Wednesday that applications for the scholarship were open for the 2021-2022 scholar year.
Eligibility for the scholarship falls under those with a household federal adjusted gross income of $125,000 and under.
Student must also plan to attend a SUNY or CUNY two- or four-year college, complete 30 credits per year toward their program, be on track to graduate on time with an associate degree in two years or a bachelor's degree in four years and must plan to live in New York for the length of time they receive the award.
