11ds agoNew Yorkers across the state headed to the polls to participate in the presidential primary election.
While this primary is not exactly competitive, it's still an opportunity for New Yorkers to exercise their right to vote and to have their voices heard in the race for the White House.
The primary comes just three weeks after both President Joe Biden and former President Donald Trump secured the needed number of delegates to clinch their party's nominations. However, voters will still have multiple options on their ballots.
Democrats had three people to choose from - President Biden, Marianne Williamson, and Dean Phillips.
Republicans on the other hand had four people to choose from - former President Donald Trump, Nikki Haley, Chris Christie, and Vivek Ramaswamy.
According to the Board of Elections, more than 55,000 New York City residents participated in early voting, with Brooklyn having the second-highest turn out of all the boroughs.
