New Yorkers cheer man in East Village who said he recognized, reported subway suspect

News 12 has learned that Zack is a security camera worker who was at one of the businesses when he made the connections. As he left, bystanders were seen cheering him on.

New Yorkers applauded a man who said he recognized and reported the suspect in connection to the Brooklyn subway attack in East Village. 
Frank R. James, 62, has been arrested and now faces a federal charge of terror attack on mass transit.
“I saw that guy...we caught him, that's something good,” Zach tells News 12. 
News 12 has learned that Zack is a security camera worker who was at one of the businesses when he made the connections.  As he left, bystanders were seen cheering him on. 
Law enforcement sources told the Associated Press that James called police to come get him.
Mayor Eric Adams, however, said on 1010 WINS that the Associated Press information did not come out of "our investigation."
