New Yorkers are already making their way across the state, country, and world to their holiday destinations for Thanksgiving.
The Federal Aviation Administration projects that there were more than 48,000 flights booked on Tuesday alone.
For New Yorkers at John F. Kennedy International Airport, that means longer wait times in the airport and longer times commuting on the highways.
According to AAA, nearly 55 million people will travel this Thanksgiving. With this being the first holiday season with relaxed COVID-19 restrictions in some time, flyers are expecting the worst.
According to the FAA, Sunday will be the next worst day to travel during this week.
