New Yorkers getting more protection against EBT fraud

As News 12 has reported, EBT fraud is on the rise in some New York counties.

New Yorkers are getting more protection from EBT fraud.
The state says SNAP recipients can now lock their benefit cards, in the same way as any other debit or credit card.
You can go to the "Connect EBT" app and lock the card if you suspect someone else is using it.
As News 12 has reported, EBT fraud is on the rise in some New York counties.
The Suffolk County Executive’s Office tells News 12 it sends 250 complaints to the state every week.
