Christmas is a time to spend with loved ones, and after spending cash for gifts for each other this holiday season, some New Yorkers are looking to get a chunk of change for themselves in the lottery.
The Powerball jackpot currently sits at $638 million.
Powerball officials say historically, there have been only three Powerball jackpots won on Christmas. The last one was in 2013.
"What are you going to do if you're sitting at home, you see the numbers, and you're the winner?" asked News 12 reporter Katelynn Ulrich.
"I might quit my job," said Canarsie resident Eddie Speller.
"I was born lucky. I'm a winner," said Canarsie resident Mitzie.
Brooklyn residents who spoke with News 12 are feeling lucky about winning the Powerball Jackpot tonight.
