On Sunday, authorities discovered a decaying body. Kayla Cruz tells News 12 she's complained about the awful stench to management for months and even reached out to the city's Department of Health and Mental Hygiene.
"This is really scary. Like, my kids have to walk through there every single morning to go to school. If now we have to inconvenience ourselves and go up a flight or go down a flight and walk through those hallways because they smell much better than here," said Cruz.
The identity of the victim or cause of death has not been released.
News 12 reached out to the management office of the building and hasn't heard back.
