The Administration for Children’s Services held a ribbon-cutting ceremony to unveil its latest facility.
The child protection site is located at 2100 Bartow Ave. in Co-op City.
ACS officials tell News 12 the facility is a more modern, high-tech environment that will better meet the needs of Bronx families.
News 12 got an exclusive tour of the site.
There’s a modern waiting area and several conference rooms equipped with children’s toys and books. ACS also has a food pantry on site with emergency groceries for families who may be food insecure.
There’s also a boutique with clothing for all occasions and in all sizes that typically fit children 18 and under.
“This is an exciting moment for us because really we're giving our families an opportunity to feel respected, appreciated and valued,” said Dwight Quamina, a member of the Administration for Children’s Services.
The facility is open from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. on weekdays, and emergency children’s services are available for support on the weekends.
Those who need immediate help are asked to call ACS at 212-676-7667.
