NJ Transit officers save life of unresponsive woman at Linden Station
The officers were able to administer CPR until EMS arrived and took the woman to the hospital.

Two New Jersey Transit police officers are being praised for saving the life of an unresponsive woman at the Linden Station.
Officials say that Officer Nikolas DePasquale and Officer Kevin O'Brien were on patrol when they were alerted to the fact that a woman was lying face down on the stairs inside the station. They say that the woman was not breathing and did not have a pulse.
After calling for EMS, the officers began performing CPR on the woman. Officials say she then showed signs of abnormal breathing and a faint pulse. They continued CPR until EMS arrived.
The woman was then taken to the hospital for treatment. Her condition was not immediately known.
“The officers were essentially in the right place at the right time. Without the quick action of these officers and the report from the passing commuter, the woman likely would not have survived. All of these efforts helped to save a life,” officials wrote in a statement.
