Nonprofit to host back-to-school event offering school supplies for families

A local nonprofit is marking three years in the community by hosting a back-to-school event.
Da People's Assembly is dedicated to empowering communities of color by providing much-needed aid year-round.

The back-to-school drive is happening this Saturday at 1 p.m. on the Belmont Playground.
Along with school supplies, there will be food vendors, games and more opportunities to win great supplies.
