New York City is beginning to see ponding and minor flooding along the Belt Parkway in Brooklyn Wednesday afternoon as we get the remnants of Ida moving through.
NYC Emergency Management says it's ready and working closely with the National Weather Service. It has also activated the city's flash flood emergency plan and has the downed tree task force on alert.
City officials are recommending others to charge the mobile devices and have extra batteries on hand just in case power is lost. When spotting a downed power line, report it immediately and do not go near it or try to move it.
News 12 will be following this storm and bringing the latest updates throughout the day.
